Yamaha IBR flagged off on 7th December

Bollywood heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor flagged off the Yamaha India Bike Rally, the first reality show by BIGADDA at the MMRDA Ground, in Mumbai on 7th December. Ranbir Kapoor came in full gusto to encourage the twenty finalists of the Yamaha India Bike Rally as they got ready to travel on Yamaha bikes over 4,500 km across 40 cities in 7 states in India for the next 21 days.

The rally covers an extensive stretch across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in a time span of just 21 days. The finalists were selected after a gruelling round of auditions over the last few weeks in various centres. 13 young men and 7 women from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Ahmedabad have made it to the final twenty. Divided into 10 teams, each team consisting of 2 members will halt at a village or town (‘pit stops’) each day according to their route map.

The tasks at these stops have been designed to give participants local flavors and experiences, whether it is kite making in Gujarat, an orange harvesting festival in Nagpur, a cow milking contest in Gwalior, or a roti making competition at a dhaba en route from Delhi to Chandigarh.

Commenting on IBR, Pankaj Dubey, National Business Head, India Yamaha Motor, said, “Yamaha has been constantly shifting gears to transform the market from utility to pleasure & lifestyle. Today, Yamaha offers innovative designs, sporty looks and premium features across models as part of its strategy to give consumers a new thrill in biking. With the Yamaha India Bike Rally kick starting from today, the company sets in a new era of bike rally which caters to the aspirations of the young Indian bikers. We have taken up this idea with as much zeal as the contestants themselves and Bigadda added to this passion of bringing an opportunity to discover India with India’s very own biking enthusiast ready to make a mark on Yamaha Bikes.”
